Brian Grant scored eight points in overtime, all free throws, to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 106-96 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday.
The Clippers' Lorenzen Wright hit two free throws with four-tenths of a second left in regulation to send the game into overtime. After Portland's Greg Anthony hit only one of two free throws with 1.5 seconds left to give the Blazers a 91-89 lead, he fouled Wright on the inbounds pass to the top of the key in Portland's half of the court.
Los Angeles had led by as many as 17 points in the third quarter, but the Trail Blazers rallied to take a 90-87 lead with 14.2 seconds left in regulation. After Eric Piatkowski scored on a layup for the Clippers, Anthony hit his free throw.
Grant finished with a season-high 25 points as Portland. Lamond Murray led the Clippers with 18 points.
