Black Eyed Peas drop out of Jackson tribute
LONDON (CBS) - The Black Eyed Peas will not take part in a Michael Jackson tribute concert being held in the Welsh city of Cardiff this weekend, organizers said.
Special Section: Michael Jackson
Special Section: The Trial of Dr. Conrad Murray
The band was one of the biggest draws in the lineup for the show on Saturday.
According to the BBC, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson are among the stars still taking part, along with the singer's sister La Toya and the Jackson brothers.
Jackson was 50 when he died in June 2009, while rehearsing for his "This Is It' tour.
This is not the first roadlock for the concert, which will benefit three charities, including the Los Angeles-based Aids Project. The singer's sister Janet will not be attending the concert because she says the timing is inappropriate.
The pop singer's doctor, Conrad Murray , is now on trial in Los Angeles for the singer's murder.
