Birthday Freebies Abound for You

Everyone loves birthdays, and everyone loves free stuff. So, why not combine the two and get birthday freebies from retailers and restaurants?

Tuesday happens to be CBS News Business and Economics Correspondent Rebecca Jarvis' birthday, and she stopped by "The Early Show" to fill viewers in on some of the best offers out there.

Of course, there's often a string or two attached -- like signing up for the company newsletter or rewards program - but you may well think it's worth it, when you see what you can get!

Denny's
Kids enrolled in the Denny's Birthday Club will receive a birthday card entitling them to a free kids meal and sundae at a participating Denny's restaurant as long as they're with an adult paying for a regular-priced adult entrée.
Age limit: Kids 10 years and under accompanied by an adult.

Benihana
Join the Chef's Table! Sign up and stay connected on all the latest happenings at Benihana, plus during the month of your birthday they'll email you a complimentary $30 Benihana Birthday Certificate.

Red Robin
Red Robin patrons who join the restaurant chain's eClub get a free gift for signing up as well as a free birthday burger (in addition to regular e-mail newsletters). When you register, you'll have to fill out a survey asking what you order most often at the restaurant, when you go there, who you tend to go with and how often you go.

Ruby Tuesday's
Sign up for the Ruby Tuesday "So Connected" newsletter and receive a FREE handcrafted burger on your birthday. No purchase necessary.

Starbucks
All registered Starbucks Card holders get a handcrafted birthday beverage of their choice. My Starbucks Rewards will make you feel special all year long, but for this one day you're extra special.

Cold Stone Creamery
Your birthday is your special day. To help you celebrate your birthday Cold Stone Creamery will give you one FREE Creation! That's right, free ice cream, on them, just because you had a birthday.

Baskin Robbins
Another chain of ice cream shops with a birthday club. It entitles members to a free 2.5-ounce scoop of ice cream and discount on a birthday cake, that is, if you're in charge of buying your own cake. You'll have to create an account at baskinrobbins.com, but you can opt out of e-mail newsletters and other offers unrelated to your free birthday ice cream and cake deal.

California Pizza Kitchen
Kids can enjoy a free meal at California Pizza Kitchen during their birth month by having their parents join the CPKids Birthday Club. The kids menu includes pizza, pasta, chicken or salad with a drink and free refills. Pizza toppings include some of the more adventurous options, including cheeseburger and honey chicken. Age limit: 10 and under.

Qdoba
They reward dedicated e-Clubbers with exclusive offers, information about new products and restaurants, local event invitations as well as a gift on your birthday; all delivered right to your computer. It's free to join. They'll even send you a voucher for free chips and salsa just for signing up.

Aveda
When you join the Aveda Birthday Program, you'll receive a free Personal Blends Pure-Fume or body care product offer (worth up to $24) custom blended with the aroma of your choice for your next birthday. To join the Birthday Program, you must provide your full name, full address and birthday. Once enrolled in this program, you will be sent a postcard within 28 days of your birthday that must be brought to your nearest participating Aveda Experience Center to receive your free gift (no purchase necessary).
