(CBS) Beyonce says her pregnancy has inspired her to do a maternity line.

The singer, who is expecting her first child with husband Jay-Z, told Harper's Bazaar magazine that she's working on a collection for her House of Dereon line.

"All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman," she said in the interview. "It's been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant."

"Flowy fabrics are always flattering," she added, "but I still rock my stilettos."

The singer also talked about revealing her pregnancy at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, calling it "the hardest red carpet I ever did."

"I didn't want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news," she said. "So I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump. I felt it was more powerful to see the love and enthusiasm as opposed to saying anything."

Beyonce recently told Australia's "Sunday Night" news program that she's due in February. That appearance also stirred speculation about her pregnancy - her dress appeared to fold in when she sat down on the show, leading some to question whether she was wearing a prosthetic baby bump while a surrogate carried her child. A rep for the singer told ABC News that the rumors are "stupid, ridiculous and fake."
