Beyonce, Dixie Chicks To Sing At Grammys
CBS announced Thursday that Beyonce, the Dixie Chicks, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Gnarls Barkley are set to perform at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards, broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles Feb. 11.
Rhianna, Pink, and actors Terrence Howard and Samuel L. Jackson will be presenters at the awards show.
Beyonce is nominated for best female R&B vocal performance, best R&B song, best contemporary R&B album, and best rap/sung collaboration. The Dixie Chicks, Gnarls Barkley and Red Hot Chili Peppers all are nominated in the album of the year category.
CBS also announced that Nelly Furtado will guest star on "CSI: NY" Feb. 7, and Mary J. Blige will appear on an episode of "Ghost Whisperer" on Feb. 9, in honor of Grammy week. Both are nominated for Grammys this year..
Blige will play Jackie Boyd, the coach of a high-ranked high school cheerleading team whose members are being disabled, one by one, by seemingly freak accidents in the days preceding their big cheerleading competition. Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) soon discovers that the vengeful spirit of a former cheerleader is behind the calamities and that a life-altering happening in Jackie's past is hindering her sincere efforts to put a stop to her team's adversities.

Furtado will play Ava Brandt, a world-class personal shoplifter whose job is to fulfill her clients' wish list of the latest must-have items. Ava is an ingenious master of disguise whose chameleon ways allow her to stay one step ahead of the law. She becomes the CSI's No. 1 suspect when a store security guard is found dead in a dressing room at a high-end store, leading the team on one of their toughest hunts yet.
Blige tops the list of nominees with eight. Furtado is nominated for best pop collaboration with vocals for her hit song "Promiscuous."
