Best Multinational Companies to Work For

Looking for a great company to work for, one where you'd have the potential to work with people from different cultures or even take an overseas posting? The Great Place to Work Institute has just released its 25 Best Multinationals list--and the winner is a very familiar U.S. company.

The Great Place to Work Institute defines a great place to work as one where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do, and enjoy the people they work with. The Institute doesn't tally employee benefits or give companies points for flexibility or perks.

To figure out which places qualify as 'best,' the Great Place to Work Institute surveys employees, using dozens of questions designed to measure the trust, credibility and respect the company garners among employees. The multinational version of the list, below, is based on the companies' standings in standalone national rankings. Survey results from companies where more employees fill out the surveys are weighted more heavily than others. Here are the top 25 multinationals to work for, according to Great Place to Work:

It's not so easy to snag a job at any of these companies. They receive, on average, nine applications for each job they fill.
