Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter expecting first child

Brace yourselves, Benedict Cumberbatch fans -- the actor's going to be a Cumber-dad.

"The Imitation Game" star's fiancee, Sophie Hunter, is pregnant with the couple's first child, his rep confirmed Wednesday.

"They are both over the moon," the rep told People.

Cumberbatch, 38, revealed his engagement to Hunter, a theater director, back in November, through an announcement in The Times newspaper in London.

He and Hunter, 36, walked the red carpet together Saturday at the 26th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival gala, where she arrived wearing a flowy patterned dress.

It's the latest big news for Cumberbatch, who is drawing awards buzz for his portrayal of Alan Turing in "The Imitation Game" and due to begin work on a new season of his hit TV series, "Sherlock."
