Ben Flajnik is the new "Bachelor"
(CBS/AP) It's official: Ben Flajnik will be the next star of "The Bachelor."
The 28-year-old California winemaker, who proposed to Ashley Hebert and was rejected on ABC's "The Bachelorette," is getting another chance at finding love on camera.
The network confirmed Tuesday that it chose Flajnik for the show's 16th season, which will premiere in January.
Flajnik reportedly beat out fellow "Bachelorette" castoffs Ames Brown and Ryan Park for the gig, according to Us magazine.
On "The Bachelor," single women live in a house together and compete for the affection of a single man. So far, no bachelor has gone on to marry the woman he picked while on the show.
Hebert is now engaged to J.P. Rosenbaum. She accepted his proposal during the season finale of "The Bachelorette."
