Behind The Suns

Want to know where all those suns come from? Very simply, viewers send them in. Some people write to the show to ask if they can send in a sun they've created, or one they like that was created by someone else.

Each Sunday Morning broadcast uses more than a dozen different suns, although you may see some repeated on future broadcasts.

"Many of the suns have incredible stories behind them", says production assistant Jessica Frank. One man sent in a photo of his wedding cake, she explains, in the design of a sun. The pie sun that you can see here (when you 'view and vote') was baked especially for the broadcast.
