Beef Involving Beefsteak Turns a Bit Bloody

(CBS/AP) Police in the southern Louisiana city of Houma say a woman upset over her lack of freezer space  hit her boyfriend in the face with a frozen beefsteak.

The Courier newspaper reported that 51-year-old Jerry Voisin called police on Sunday evening, and told them his girlfriend was trying to cool a mixed drink, when she got upset because it didn't in the freezer.

So, perhaps to make more room, she took something out of the freezer - a frozen beefsteak.

Police say when they arrived Voisin was bleeding from the right side of his face, which met up with a piece of cold, hard meat.

Voisin's girlfriend, 47-year-old Edith Tassin - aka Edith Verdin - was booked on aggravated battery, and released on bond.
