(CBS) DELTONA, Fla. - Kelly Custis is accused of breaking into her ex-fiance's Deltona, Fla. home Monday morning and attacking him - and his new girlfriend - while they were in bed together, police say, according to CBS affiliate WKMG

Custis, a 27-year-old bartender, was arrested on charges of burglary with assault/battery, the station reports.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Custis entered the home of her ex-fiance, David Lewis, a 31-year-old Seminole County firefighter, around 5:30 a.m. Monday, and entered his bedroom.

Lewis told police Custis turned on the lights and that is when he saw her standing in the doorway. Custis then allegedly attacked Lewis' new girlfriend while she was lying in bed with him.

Police say the girlfriend had scratches on her chest, arm and face and clumps of her hair were found on the floor. The girlfriend also told police Custis tried to strangle her, WKMG reports.

According to Lewis, he and Custis broke up in August 2012 and she no longer lives there or had any belongings in the home. He said he changed the locks on the door after the split, but his roommate may have left the door unlocked on the night of the break-in, police say.

Custis was released Monday on her own recognizance.
