Ballgowns to go on display in London

(CBS) Ballgowns from royals and celebrities alike will go on display at London's Victoria and Albert Museum in Spring 2012.

Part of the British Glamour Since 1950 exhibition - the red carpet evening dresses, gowns and catwalk dresses will be featured from May 2012 through January 2013.

More than 60 designs from social events, private parties, opening nights and royal balls will be featured as part of the exhibition.

Visitors will get to see the Norman Hartnell gown designed for Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Princess Diana's "Elvis Dress," and gowns worn by the young royals of today.

Celebrities with dresses featured include Elizabeth Hurley, Bianca Jagger and Sandra Bullock.
