Baby Tiger Not Ready For Debut

The Roosevelt Zoo has a new addition and he's the cutest little thing you've ever seen. He's a baby Bengal tiger who was born on Thursday and workers at the zoo are raising him by hand. They seem to be doing just fine. The baby tiger has doubled in size in the past four days. He eats every 2 to 3 hours and just opened his eyes yesterday.

News About Animals

It's a baby boy tiger who doesn't have a name yet...but zoo workers say it won't be a "Tigger". They want to wait until the animal develops more of a personality to name him.

Two days after he was born, the mother tiger rejected it. Workers say it's not unusual for a mother to reject her cub. Right now, the baby tiger is not on display. Plans are in the works for public viewing sometime this summer.
