(CBS/AP) BAYONNE, N.J. - Four people, including a baby, were shot and killed Monday evening in Bayonne, N.J. in what appears to be a murder-suicide. A fifth person is now being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Mayor Mark Smith says a man shot the adults and baby before killing himself. He says two other children were in the house when the shootings occurred at about 8 p.m. on Monday night but were unharmed.

Smith says initial reports indicate one man was responsible for the shooting, the New Jersey Star Ledger reports.

Bayonne Police Chief Robert Kubert says the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide that involved "mostly family members." Officials say the baby boy who died was 1 to 1 ½ years old.

According to the Star Ledger, more than 15 shots were fired and police believe a gun found at the house was used in the killings.

The names of the victims have not been released.
