Baby Taken in Stolen Car Found Alive

ST. PAUL, Minn. - A 11-month-old boy taken with a stolen car in St. Paul has been found alive.

St. Paul police spokesman Andy Skoogman says the boy was found in Maplewood about 10 p.m. Wednesday. That's more than seven miles away from where the car was stolen.

Skoogman says he doesn't know the boy's condition. The boy apparently is being taken in for a medical evaluation.

The boy was strapped in a car seat in the back seat when the Grand Prix was stolen about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the car was left running and unattended.

Skoogman says police had asked for an Amber Alert but the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension had not issued it yet.
