Lavigne played a live show at the Tampa Bay Rays summer concert series following the team's 7-3 loss at Tropicana Field to the Cleveland Indians Saturday. The tirade took place when she had mic problems.

According to E! Online, she said the sound problem "f--king happens on a baseball field." The crowd of about 25,000 people booed.

After getting a working microphone, Lavigne apologized to the crowd. The Rays were apparently not pleased.

In a statement, the team said, "The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in [Avril Lavigne's] show. It is not consistent with the family-friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for."

Lavigne threw the game's ceremonial first pitch as well.
