"Arrow injuries to the chest" killed Minn. woman, police say
(CBS/AP) DETROIT LAKES, Minn. - Police say a woman found dead in a northwest Minnesota apartment on Wednesday afternoon died of "arrow injuries to the chest" in what appears to be a murder and attempted suicide, according to Valley News Live.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's office identified the woman as 69-year-old Geraldine Kading of Dent, Minn.
A man who was found injured at the apartment in Detroit Lakes, Minn. was taken to St. Mary's Hospital. Police said the condition of the 56-year-old man is not known.
According to ABC affiliate WDAY, police have identified the man as David Strensrud, who was reportedly in a romantic relationship with the victim.
Strensrud has a criminal record and reportedly served 16 years in prison for sexual contact with a minor younger than 13. He was released in 2010.
The apparent crime scene in Detroit Lakes is about 200 miles northwest of Minneapolis-St. Paul.
