NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Antwon Tanner, former star of the WB's "One Tree Hill", should have avoided One Police Plaza.

Tanner was sentenced Jan. 14 to three months in prison and five months of home detention after his release. He plead guilty to selling more than a dozen Social Security numbers for $10,000 to an undercover agent.

Tanner described the incident as "an embarrassment" to his family and fans.

His lawyer blamed it on "stupidity." Gregory Watts said Tanner suffered financial reversals and lost a $1 million house in California to foreclosure.
