Suspect in Florida cold case caught in California

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach County deputies have made an arrest in a nearly 20-year-old murder case.

The sheriff's office reports that detectives arrested 47-year-old Antonio Calvillo in the 1995 death of 27-year-old Shirley Laseter of Belle Glade. A warrant was issued for Calvillo's arrest less than two weeks after Laseter's death, but police said he had fled for Mexico. He was located last week in San Francisco.

An autopsy concluded Laseter died of blunt-force trauma, apparently with a five-gallon bucket of dirt found by her body.

Police say Calvillo could be a suspect in other crimes. It's not known if he has obtained an attorney.
