Antolin Garcia-Torres, man arrested in the disappearance of Calif. teen Sierra LaMar, will make his first court appearance today
(CBS/AP) SAN JOSE, Calif. - Santa Clara County prosecutors said 21-year-old Antolin Garcia-Torres, who is the man accused of kidnapping and the murder of 15-year-old Sierra LaMar, is scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday.

LaMar was last seen by her family on March 15, when she left her home in Morgan Hill to go to school. Police believe she was kidnapped while walking to the school bus stop that morning.
Authorities said they arrested Garcia-Torres on Monday after finding LaMar's DNA in his car and his DNA in her handbag. He is due to be arraigned Thursday afternoon in connection with LaMar's disappearance.
Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith said Sierra and Garcia-Torres did not know each other and that her abduction is believed to be a random act of violence.
