Anti-war Documentary To Be Screened In Capitol
As the House returns to vote on funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) and Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) plan to greet their returning colleagues with the anti-war flick Taxi to the Dark Side, winner of a 2008 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
The doc tells the story of Dilawar, a 22-year-old Afghan taxi driver detained at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan in 2002. The Crypt won’t ruin the ending for you. The screening’s on Tuesday, June 3, at 4:30 in room HC-8 of the Capitol.
