Another Sandusky accuser initiates civil suit in child sex case surrounding former coach, report says

(CBS) HARRISBURG, Pa. - A second accuser is taking steps to file a civil lawsuit alleging former Penn State assistant football coach sexually abused him. The accuser, according to CBS affiliate WHP, will accuse Sandusky, the school, and Sandusky's charity "The Second Mile," and is not among the ten alleged victims named in the criminal case against the ex-coach.

Criminal allegations stemming from the two civil suits, the first of which was filed last month, could still follow an investigation by the Attorney General's Office.

The accuser in the latest planned civil action was 12 when Sandusky allegedly sexually abused him in 2004, according to WHP, and claims the then-coach gave him whiskey before touching him inappropriately. His lawyer says it happened just once, but scarred him for life.

"Pulled out a bottle, poured a glass of whiskey and told him to drink," attorney Charles Schmidt told WHP.

Schmidt says it happened on Penn State's campus at Sandusky's office.

His client's mother died a year before the alleged incident. The boy was involved in Sandusky's The Second Mile charity that helped at-risk children, and which prosecutors say he used to find and groom his victims.

WHP obtained court documents which show that potential victim number 12 has filed the first of many steps in a planned civil case.
