Pittsburgh man missing; family finds home ransacked

PITTSBURGH -- Police in Pittsburgh are asking for help finding Andre Gray, 34, after worried family members found his home ransacked, reports CBS Pittsburgh.

Often calling his mother every other day, Gray's mother grew worried when she didn't hear from him, according to the station. When Victoria Gray Tillman went inside his home using a spare key, what she found was disturbing.

"There was blood on the floor, there was bleach, odor of bleach, duct tape," she told reporters. "His place was ransacked, his big screen TV was stolen out of his bedroom, his two laptops were missing."

The family believes someone may be using Gray's cellphone to access his Facebook account. His stepsister reportedly wrote on his wall, "This can not be the ending for your story, amen."

Gray's family has also said that his dog is missing as well.

Described as a black male with a full beard, 5 feet, nine inches tall, and weighing about 200 pounds, police call the case suspicious and are still piecing together last hours before Gray disappeared.

"[We] don't know the last sighting, which is why it's important for people to call us," a spokesperson for the Pittsburgh Police Department told CBS Pittsburgh.

Police didn't want to go into detail of the evidence found in Gray's home, saying they must be very careful with the investigation.

"That's all part of the investigation and certain details like that are important not to put out. It could jeopardize the integrity of the investigation and prosecution," the spokesperson added.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pittsburgh Police Department at (412)-323-7141.
