NEW YORK (CBS) The "Long Island Lolita" will appear on the "Maury" TV talk show to speak of her desire to become a full-time porn star.

"People liked what they saw, and she needed to make a living," sources told the Post about her new career goal .

Fisher appeared on Maury Povich's talk show, which was taped earlier this month., to explain why she went back on a pledge she had made to Povich in 2007 after a sex tape she had made with her husband  went public.

According to the New York Post on Wednesday, the 36-year-old mother of three appears on "Maury" in a tight-fitting white dress to talk about a deal she has made for eight X-rated films, with the first set for release this week.

"I'm not going to be a porn star," Fisher had pledged to Povich in 2007 after a private sex tape with husband Lou Bellera -- who leaked the tape -- sold 200,000 copies.

On Thursday's show, she apologizes for going back on her word.

Bellera, who also appears on the show, said he has no problem his wife's new career.

"I'm better than him," Bellera bragged of Fisher's co-star.

As far as Fisher's ex-lover Joey Buttafuoco, the pair still keep in touch.

"He is doing wonderful, staying out of the spotlight," she says.

Fisher was initially charged with first-degree attempted murder, but eventually pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated assault for an attack on Buttafuoco's wife. She  served seven years in prison.
