"America's Got Talent" coming to New York City

"America's Got Talent" is heading to the Big Apple.

NBC's talent competition series is moving from New Jersey to New York City's Radio City Music Hall, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Wednesday.

The eighth season of "AGT" will air live from the landmark theater twice a week, starting July 23.

The show is relocating from the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Cuomo says the move will create more than 500 jobs and generate $100 million each season. New York State recently extended its Film Production Tax Credit to attract television shows to the state.

Supermodel Heidi Klum was recently added to "America's Got Talent" as a judge, alongside fellow newcomer Mel B and returning judges Howard Stern and Howie Mandel.
