Americans United Targets 9 Rs On "Mission Accomplished" Anniversary

The Democratically-aligned Americans United for Change will commemorate the fourth anniversary of President Bush’s “Mission Accomplished” speech with a television campaign to criticize the president.

In a perhaps-not-so-accidental coincidence, Bush is expected to veto legislation to continue funding the war on the fourth anniversary of said speech.

The ad campaign is a “significant six-figure buy,” according to a spokesman for the group, but somewhere under $500,000. The ad began running on national cable news Friday and will run Sunday and through the early part of next week on local Washington television.
