Amber alert issued for missing Texas girls, 1 and 2, believed taken by teen sister
(CBS/KWTX) KYLE, Texas - Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for two young girls who went missing from their Kyle, Texas home early Saturday.
The girls are believed to be with their older sister, who has a history of mental illness, and they may be in danger, according to officials at the Hays County Sherriff's office.
Jasmine Pinales, 2, and Mariana Pinales, 1, disappeared along with Kendra Nicole Lee, 14, who had been babysitting the toddlers Friday night, reports CBS affiliate KWTX. The girls' mother reportedly arrived home early Saturday to find all three were gone along with the family pickup truck. The vehicle was found abandoned and out of gas in Austin.
A warrant has been issued for the 14-year-old who is now wanted on two counts of kidnapping, police say.
Jasmine Pinales is 2-foot-5 and weighs 60 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
Mariana Pinales is 2-foot-5 and weighs 30 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
Lee is 5-foot-5, weighs about 125 pounds, and has birthmarks on her left leg and right abdomen and a scar near her right eye.
