LUMBERTON, N.J. (CBS/AP) An Amber Alert has been issued for Terry Dusseault, Jr. New Jersey State police arrived at the house the 8-year-old shared with his father, Terry Dusseault, Sr. to serve an arrest warrant on the elder Dusseault for six counts of child sexual assault.

Authorities arrived around 11 a.m. Tuesday morning, but Terry Dusseault had apparently already left with his son.

The elder Dusseault, 38, is a registered sex offender in North Carolina and is accused of sexually assaulting three Burlington County juveniles, Burlington County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Joel Bewley said Tuesday.

The younger Dusseault is not believed to be one of Terry Dusseault's alleged victims, according to Bewley.

The father and son are believed to be traveling without anyone else; the boy's mother is dead. Terry Dusseault's brother, who lived with his brother and his son, said he is concerned about his brother's mental status but did not elaborate, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Terry, Jr. is white, 4-feet-8-inches tall, and weighs 80 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, authorities said.

The older Dusseault was last seen wearing a tan short-sleeve shirt and khaki shorts. He is 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs 210 pounds, officials said. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Dusseault has an "NY" tattoo on his left arm and a tattoo on his upper chest that reads "Schaney." He was driving a black 2001 Hyundai Sante Fe. It has New Jersey license plates LXB-61U, according to Bewley.

Anyone who spots the father and son are asked to call the New Jersey State Police at 609-584-5000.
