"All My Children" getting its plug pulled?
(CBS) Are daytime TV viewers about to suffer through a life without Erica Kane? Deadline reports that the venerable drama may be on the chopping block.
Citing low ratings and cuts the other networks have made in their daytimes line-ups, Deadline reports the end may be near. "All My Children" recently posted all-time lows two weeks in a row in the demographic of women 18-49, according to Deadline.
Total viewers average 2.32 million. Deadline reports that "All My Children" and ABC's other daytime dramas got a second airing on SOAPnet but that channel is changing its format to Disney Junior.
In addition to "All My Children," ABC's daytime line-up includes "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital."
