Alicia Keys to honor George Harrison at charity ball

(CBS/AP) Alicia Keys and her charity, Keep a Child Alive, are set to honor former Beatle George Harrison at the organization's annual The Black Ball in New York.

The Nov. 3 event will be held in the Hammerstein Ballroom. Scheduled  to perform are  Keys, Mary J. Blige, Gary Clark Jr., Jay Sean and Midival Punditz with Karsh Kale. This is the eighth year the Black Ball has been held. According to a press release, last year's New York Black Ball raised $2.4 million for charity.

Keep a Child Alive decided to honor Harrison for his "philanthropic contributions to India." The organization works to help children affected HIV and AIDS in Africa and India.
