Ali and Roberto are the Newest "Bachelorette" Couple
NEW YORK (CBS) Ali Fedotowsky made her decision on "The Bachelorette" last night - and it was Roberto.
The reality TV star chose insurance agent Roberto Martinez over landscaper Chris Lambton on the show's finale, accepting his marriage proposal after a final date in Bora Bora left her sure that he was the one.
"I love Roberto," Fedotowsky gushed after the two spent the day jet skiing, picnicking on a private beach and sharing kisses while lying in each other's arms.
Lambton didn't even stand a chance after that. Before he had his chance to wow her on their final date, Fedotowsky broke the news that he wasn't the one.
"I have to let you go here and not wait till tomorrow," she explained.
Lambton respected Ali's honesty, and confessed, "As much as this situation hurts, I want to see her happy."
"Good luck tomorrow," he told her. "Go find out if he loves you, alright? You're easy to love."
That next day, Martinez, unaware that he had already been chosen, professed his love for Fedotowsky.
"You told me how important it was for your husband to love you unconditionally and to always be by your side no matter what," he said. "I want to be that man for you. I want to make you laugh. I want to make you smile. I want to make sure you wake up every morning for the rest of your life knowing that you are so, so loved."
"You're the only guy here today," she then revealed to him. "I love you so much."
"I want to grow old with you," Roberto told her. "I want to share my life my life with you. Share my life with me?"
He then got down on one knee and pulled an engagement ring out of his pocket and asked her to marry him. (People magazine reports it's a 3.03-carat Neil Lane ring with an asscher-cut center stone, accented by184 round-cut brilliant diamonds.)
"Oh my gosh! Yes! Yes!" she said, before offering him the final rose.
