Alaska man attacks snowplow with ax
(CBS/AP) ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Having your car blocked in by a snowplow is one of those experiences that unites humankind (unless you live in Florida, perhaps).
Still, it's not something anyone looks forward to.
State troopers in Alaska say a man was apparently so angry about a snow pile that was blocking his car that he went after a snowplow with an ax.Snowplow driver James Ross told troopers that the man ran in front of his truck in the Anchorage community of Big Lake on Nov. 6. Ross says he was forced to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting the man.
Ross says the man swore at him and then hit the driver's side door of the plow with the ax.
The Anchorage Daily News identified the angry man as 44-year-old Vernon Logan. Troopers say Logan told them his driveway had indeed been plowed in, but he denied that a confrontation took place.
He was charged with assault and criminal mischief.
Mr. Logan probably won't be singing "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow" come Christmas.
