Al Sistani Sets His Conditions To Approve U.S.-Iraqi Security Pact

Grand Ayatollah Ali al Sistani has set three pre-conditions for approving the long term security pact with the U.S. government during a recent meeting with Prime Minister Maliki in Najaf, Jawad Taleb, the advisor to former Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari, told Fares Press Online. Taleb said that the conditions outlined by al Sistani included rejecting any form of legal immunity for U.S. troops and contractors.
