Airport Scare In India
Panic seized India's international airport Thursday after Air India received a message that a woman passenger on its flight to Hong Kong was carrying explosives.
Police inspector Sangha Mitra at the control room at Indira Gandhi International Airport told The Associated Press that they had information that a passenger was carrying explosives in her carryon luggage.
"We searched her and found nothing,'' said Mitra.
Mitra said the passenger, Paramjit Kaur, was aboard the Air India flight from Bombay to Hong Kong, via New Delhi.
The police inspector said that television reports that two terrorists had infiltrated the airport were false.
