An American airman's video recorded shortly after "Don't Ask Don't Tell" ended has gone viral.
It shows Air Force Senior Airman Randy Phillips, 21, who is stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, in a nerve-wracking moment as he calls his father back home in Alabama that he's gay.
In the video, Phillips can be heard saying, "Dad, I'm gay."
His father replies, "OK."
Phillips explains, "Like I always have been. I have known since forever."
Phillips then asks his father, "Do you still love me?"
His father replies, "I still love you, son. Yes, I still love you."
Phillips says, " Are you OK, Dad?"
"It doesn't change our relationship," his father replies.
Phillips told his father he is the first family member to know. His video was gotten more than a million hits on YouTube.
