Add Your Calendar to Your Gmail Page

The folks at Google Labs are really cranking out the features these days. (Maybe they're trying to show that as Yahoo! wilts, Google's getting stronger?) At any rate, they've finally made it possible to add many of the cool widgets from iGoogle to your Gmail page as well. In the sidebar of your mail account, you can now add your calendar and your Google Docs page, and there's even a new application that lets turn any Google gadget into a Gmail sidebar item via its url (though it's still sort of buggy for me).

The gCal sidebar feature in particular has been useful (I enabled it via Settings>Labs), although I'm still having trouble making use of the limited "Add" button. (I usually end up going to the main gCal page to edit my schedule.) But it is really nice to be able to give an immediate response about my availability over email.
