A judge in Michigan's Upper Peninsula says Monday is the new deadline for a plea deal for two people accused of trying to extort money from actor John Stamos.

Negotiations were stalled before lawyers asked U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy Greeley to stretch the deadline. A court filing says he agreed last Friday.

Scott Sippola and Allison Coss are charged with three crimes, including conspiracy. They were arrested in December after the FBI said they threatened to sell photos of Stamos unless he paid $680,000.

Stamos has known Coss since meeting her in Florida in 2004. When the case was filed last year, his spokesman said the photos were harmless.

Trial is set for July 12 in federal court in Marquette. Stamos was on TV's "ER" and "Full House." Lawyers asked U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy Greeley to stretch the deadline. A court filing says he agreed last Friday.
