Access and Manage PCs on Your iPhone with WinAdmin
Calling all mobile workers and IT administrators: WinAdmin [iTunes link] provides remote access to one or more PCs, using your iPhone as the gateway. And not just access to files and folders, either, but total control of the desktop. And not just one desktop, but multiple desktops connected concurrently!
Sorry for the gushing, but holy moley, what an unbelievably useful tool. You can navigate your desktop using standard swiping and pinching methods, and there's even a simple way to recreate a right-click: tap with your finger, then tap again and hold.
The program supports Windows 2000, Server 2003/2008, XP, and Vista (Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate). It sells for just $11.99, which I think is dirt-cheap for this kind of functionality. If you ever needed more ammo to sell your boss on the idea of deploying iPhones in the IT department, this is it. Just check out what Download Squad's Todd Ritter had to say in his mini-review of WinAdmin: "Now I'm able to sit in traffic and reset Active Directory passwords, or drink coffee at Panera Bread while I add a printer to our print server."
I'm sold.
