Aaron Carter on Hilary Duff: "I would sweep her off her feet"

Aaron Carter, 26, famously dated actress/singer Hilary Duff in 2000 when they were just 13 years old, and now the pop star, 26, is opening up to ET and revealing that he still has feelings for his ex, who recently split with husband Mike Comrie.

Carter caused a stir on Twitter in March when he retweeted a selfie of Duff, 26, along with a few romantic statements.

When asked point blank by ET's Rob Marciano if he still loved Hilary, he responded, "Absolutely...I don't know who she is today, she doesn't know who I am today but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong."

And though he has gotten no response from Duff since his public confessions of love, he isn't bothered.

"That wasn't meant for the media or anybody like that...I didn't think about it really. I wasn't really looking for [a response] either," he said. "I'm sure she got the message."

Carter was famously caught in a love triangle in 2002 between Duff and Lindsay Lohan, whom he started dating after Duff.

"I'm going to do everything in my power to fix those relationships in my life just like I want to fix the relationship I had with the love of my life," Carter added, referring to Duff. I'm not gonna give up on Hilary ... ever."
