A Note To Freshmen: Always Think Twice Before Voting

You can't blame a freshman for voting with her party, but Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann should have thought twice before voting with her Republican colleagues on two procedural measures to clear the way for a bill giving her home state $250 million in reconstruction fees after the tragic bridge collapse in Minneapolis Wednesday.

Bachmann was obviously a very strong backer of the reconstruction funds - and a sympathetic Minnesotan in the wake of the disaster - but she voted with her GOP colleagues on two party-line protest votes Thursday afternoon that the Democrats' campaign arm might unearth when it comes time to run again.
