A lesson on the proper way to drink whiskey (and how wrong you've probably been)
(CBS News) While I have imbibed some whiskey from time to time in the past, it turns out I wasn't actually drinking whiskey. Nope, not even in the slightest. Just watch the video above and prepare to have your mind blown on how wrong you've probably been while partaking of whiskey, too.
The very amusing and extremely educational video was done by Whyte & Mackay's master blender, Richard Paterson (aka The Nose), who is a true authority on all things whiskey with professional experience dating back to the 1970's. Seriously, it doesn't get more authoritative than this.
And the actual tips and tricks on how to properly drink whiskey? Amazing! Marvelous! I can't wait to see the bartender's expression this weekend when I throw the whiskey on the floor if it's served to me improperly. I'll probably be tossed out of the establishment at that point, but will scream from the top of my lungs that what I've been served isn't truly whiskey after watching this amazing video.
A big triple-rainbow salute goes out to Richard from all of us here at The Feed for this brilliant piece that is the perfect video to watch before starting the weekend. To see more videos by Richard Paterson, you can visit the Whyte & Mackay YouTube page by clicking here.
Note: As some readers pointed out in the comments, I should have been using the term "whisky" instead of "whiskey". My apologies, as I'm in full agreement. Thanks for letting me know!
