(CBS) - A Virgina woman was arrested early Thursday for robbing a home last year that belonged to a 94-year-old man who was found dead earlier this week, CBS DC reports.

Marie Johnson, 45, was arrested around 3:15 a.m. Thursday at a traffic stop near Alexandria, Va. She was charged with burglary and grand larceny for robbing Elmer Roehrs' home in November 2012, according to CBS DC.

In a strange twist of events, Roehrs was found dead at his home on Wednesday evening. Police ruled his death a homicide, the first homicide in the city of Alexandria since 2011. Police said he was killed from trauma to his upper body, CBS affiliate WUSA reports.

Johnson was not charged in connection to Roehrs' murder. She is being held without bond at a detention center, CBS DC reports.

Police said Johnson is known to the Roehrs family. She rented one of several properties the family owned, according to WUSA.
