(CBS/WFSB) EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Everyone knows 911 is for emergencies only.

But what if you're really unhappy about your deli sandwich order?

A 911 dispatcher in East Hartford recently received such an 'emergency' call from a man who didn't like how his sandwiches were made, according to CBS affiliate WFSB.

Here's how the crisis developed:

The owner of the Grateful Deli, Tila Azinheira, said a customer called in an order for 14 sandwiches - seven ham and seven turkey.

"He asked, 'Can you do me a favor? Put less meat but lots of cheese and mayo.' So I did the order the way he liked it," Azinheira told WFSB. "He wasn't happy with the price because he had to pay a regular sandwich price."

Azinheira told WFSB the customer thought he should pay less because he asked for less meat, and he got worked up enough to call 911...from the deli's phone.

Part of the call went like this:

Caller: I specifically asked for um...little um..turkey and little um... ham and a lot of cheese and a lot of mayonnaise...and they're giving me a hard time and I'm wondering if you could stop by and just...

     911: Who is this?

Caller: I was just wondering if you could um...

911: You're calling 911 because u don't like the way that they're making your sandwich?

     Caller: Exactly.

911: So then don't buy it. Just walk away and don't buy it....if they don't wanna make it the way you want it.

The caller gave his name as Rother McLennon.

Restaurant owner Azinheira told WFSB in 10 years at the deli it's the craziest thing that's ever happened.

Kinda leaves you hungry for an explanation.
