Calling all spreadsheet jockeys: The Pointy Haired Dilbert blog has seven productivity boosters for Excel, all of them based on double-clicking in places you probably never though to double-click.
For example, did you know that 2x-clicking the Office button (the big icon in the upper-left corner) closes the program? Of course, a single click in the top-right corner accomplishes the same thing, so let's move on to one of the better tips:
Adjust column widths by selecting multiple columns and double clicking on the separators
I have to admit, some of these double-click shortcuts were news to me. And be sure to peruse the post's accompanying comments for some other tips from users. Then feel free to hit the comments right here if you have double-click tricks of your own to share.
By the way, the author doesn't say if these Excel 2007 shortcuts will work in earlier versions of the program. If you're able to put them to the test in, say, Excel 2003, hit the comments and tell us which ones work. [via Lifehacker]
