5 Found Dead In Submerged Car

Police are investigating the discovery of five bodies found in a car that was submerged in a creek in rural northern Kentucky.

The car was found in Eagle Creek just off Kentucky 467 in Gallatin County, about 30 miles southwest of Cincinnati. Authorities removed the car and found the bodies of two adults and three children inside.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Chip Perry says autopsies are being performed on the bodies, and authorities hope to identify them later Friday. He says police don't suspect foul play.

State police were called to the scene by local police Thursday afternoon.

Perry says the car was found near a sharp curve on the narrow, rural road. He says little of the car was visible, and that a passer-by spotted it and alerted local authorities.
