3 Ways to End Your Work Week on a Positive Note

Friday Tips: Get Ready for a Happy Monday
It's Friday so most likely you're thinking about the weekend fun to come and not ways to make the most of your work week. But as blog CAREEREALISM points out, putting in a little extra effort on Friday to think about the work week ending and the one to come can help get you in the right frame of mind for kicking back over the weekend and set you up for a happier Monday. And everyone could use a happier Monday.

The blog suggests these three Friday habits to start your weekend with a smile.

  • Reach out with a quick email or (better yet) a short thank you note expressing gratitude for those that went out of their way to help you this week. This is literally a ten minute exercise that has powerful results. You'll feel great in expressing thanks and the recipient will receive a nice message to end the week on.
  • Make note of what you believe were your three greatest accomplishments over the past week. Embrace the sense of satisfaction and positive emotion associated with getting these important things done. Interrelate this the first habit -â€" was there anyone who contributed significantly to your three greatest achievements?
  • What are your three most important goals for next week? Do you have sufficient time set aside to accomplish those goals? Who do you need to solicit for help (go ahead and reach out and confirm their participation before you end this week)? What is the VERY NEXT ACTION associated with each of those goals, and do you have that task clearly identified on your calendar or task list with a due date?
Do you have any other tips for making Friday a little more happy and productive?
