If you're a Firefox user, you can do more with Twitter than just read tweets. These three add-ons turn the browser into a Twitter powerhouse:

Long URL Please As mentioned a couple weeks back, Long URL Please shows you what's behind the shortened links that appear in so many tweets. Why should you care? So you don't land on sites that are NSFW or full of malware.

TwitterBar Feeling the need to tweet? You don't have to visit Twitter proper. Just type your message into Firefox's address bar, then click the TwitterBar icon this add-on adds to it. Presto: tweet tweeted.

Twitter Search You know that pull-down menu in Firefox's search field, the one with options like Google, Yahoo, and Wikipedia? Twitter Search adds Twitter to it, thus giving you what is arguably the world's fastest and easiest way to run a Twitter search.

Good stuff, right? If you know of any other Twitter-centric tools Firefox users should check out, hit the comments and tell us all about 'em.
