279 Last-Minute Colleges With Vacancies
Did you get shut out of all of your dream colleges this spring?
Believe it or not, there is still time to apply to colleges. While the deadline for many schools has long since passed, plenty of colleges and universities have extended their deadlines.
Beginning today, you can find the names of these schools on the website of the National Association for College Admission Counseling. The list, which is officially called the Space Availability Survey, contains 279 colleges and universities with vacancies from all parts of the United States.
On the list you'll find a mix of private and public universities and colleges.
Here are the flagship institutions that I saw that still have vacancies:
- Arizona State University
- University of Iowa
- University of Maryland
- University of Nevada
- University of South Carolina
- University of Utah
- West Virginia University
- University of Vermont
Many of these schools still offer financial aid, as well as housing. Lots of these institutions are also welcoming transfer students.
If you're interested, act now. Once vacancies are filled, schools will be taking themselves off the college vacancy list. On the other hand, some colleges might post their listings later, so it's worth checking back.
