(CBS/KCBS) HOLLYWOOD - Authorities say they have arrested a 22-year-old student in the fatal stabbing of a Los Angeles Jobs Corps Center counselor.
According to CBS Los Angeles, police say Dwayne Alexander was killed around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities did not release the name of the suspect who was reportedly detained by other students until police arrived.
The suspect is a live-in student at the center, which offers free year-long career training, CBS Los Angeles reports.
Fellow students told CBS Los Angeles that the suspect was "having troubles recently," but that no one expected him to snap.
Alexander was reportedly described as a "beloved" adviser.
Police have not announced a motive in the attack.
