2 U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iraq Blast
The U.S. military says two American soldiers have died of wounds sustained during a roadside bomb attack in the Iraqi capital.
A military statement says the two soldiers assigned to Multi-National Division-North died Friday following an attack on a patrol in eastern Baghdad.
The statement says the two were with the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary). The command is based out of Fort Hood, Texas.
It says the soldiers identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin, and the incident is under investigation.
The death raises to at least 4,337 members of the U.S. military who have died in the Iraq war since it began in March 2003. That's according to an Associated Press count.
